About the Opportunity The Legal L&D Manager develops and delivers learning strategies, designs and delivers induction and training programs, assesses development needs and tracks learning effectiveness. This role will provide oversight of ODPP materials and resources to ensure they reflect current legislation and policy and support succession planning for the office. In addition, this role will provide, when required, specialist advice on law reform and legal policy to the Director.
About the Business The ODPP is an office of approximately 190 staff, comprising both legal and administrative functions. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.
Special Conditions for Employment Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Admitted, or eligible for admission, as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia.
