We have a great opportunity for you join our Family & Wellbeing team working at the John McVeity Centre (JMC), a vibrant hub for recreational and community activities.
The John McVeity Centre (JMC) is dedicated to providing a wide range of formal and informal sports, group and individual fitness and community development activities where our community finds connection and engagement.
What you'll do Schedule and coordinate a range of court sports in accordance with the current, mid-season sports program at the JMC.Provide high level customer service across court sports, venue hire, front reception, and canteen sales.Contribute to promoting the court sports program within the community, with a focus on improving physical and mental wellbeing through physical activity.Liaise with and assist hirers of the JMC with enquiries, complaints, and requests.Support the facilitation of easy access of hirer groups into function areas.Support the operation of a small canteen, including reconciliation of cash and EFT payments.Please refer to the attached Position Descriptions for more information.
What you'll bring to our team Experience in managing and scheduling a seasonal court sports program.High level of customer service experience.Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.Cash Handling including Eftpos, cash and online transactions.Proven ability to effectively use ICT systems including H&L, booking systems and the Microsoft suite.A certificate in community services/development or sports and recreation related discipline is desirable but not essential.
