RAC operates in a culturally appropriate, sensitive, community-controlled environment that maintains a holistic approach to service provision and emphasises the importance of family and community.RAC has been a resource, service provider and enabler of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Greater Shepparton region since 1980. RAC is a cooperative working to provide a range of supports and services including:Health and wellbeingPositive aging and disability servicesCommunity servicesAsset and infrastructure servicesCorporate servicesRAC has an annual budget of $19 million and a workforce of approximately 230 people. RAC is a significant employer and economic contributor to the region and plays a high profile leadership role as one of the larger Aboriginal organisations in Australia. RAC is committed to ensuring the Aboriginal people in the Goulburn Valley have certainty of access to community-controlled services.Role Purpose:In this rewarding role, the Workforce Development Officer (WDO) will lead learning and development programs aimed at helping Rumbalara employees and Community members grow professionally, all in line with Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative's (RAC) Strategic Plan. You will support culturally relevant training, run workshops, and make sure our learning initiatives reflect the Community's values and the goals of our organisation. You'll be there for staff involved in study, traineeships, or apprenticeships, offering guidance, motivation, and mentoring. Collaboration with Community members, staff, local businesses, and educational institutions will be key. Reporting to the Workforce Development Manager and the Executive Manager of People and Culture, you'll be a key member of our supportive team, helping RAC reach its community service goals while also boosting your already fantastic skills. Together, we'll uplift each other and make a positive impact in our Community!Employment Conditions:All staff are required to sign a confidentiality agreement on appointment to the organisationProbationary / qualifying periods apply to all new positionsAll staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct of the Co-operative (available to view)All staff are required to follow the policies and procedures to the department and the Co-operative (manuals are available to view)A commitment to equal opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety principles and practices is requiredSalary packaging is available to permanent part time and full-time staffTenure of positions at Rumbalara will be tied to existing contracted funding arrangementsAbout You:To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:Qualifications and Registrations:Qualification and/or equivalent experience in Training & Development, Administration, Education, Health & Wellbeing, Event Planning or related fields.Knowledge and Skills:Understanding of Aboriginal cultural practices and the ability to deliver safe, accessible training for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff.Commitment to Cultural Competency and Anti-Racism Training.Experience in planning and implementing workforce development and training activities in an educational or community setting.Experience in service delivery with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander or culturally diverse communities (preferred).Strong interpersonal skills, with high emotional intelligence, empathy, and effective, nonjudgmental communication.Event planning and management experience (desirable).Ability to demonstrate resilience, problem-solving, and independent thinking to achieve goals and navigate challenges.Proficient in professional writing and verbal communication, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully within a team environment.If you have any further questions regarding this career opportunity, please get in contact with #J-18808-Ljbffr
