We're seeking a motivated individual who thrives on helping others for a full-time ongoing position based at our Fitzroy site. You'll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week.
You'll be supported by a team of coaches, mentors and counsellors. Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of others.
Kickstart your career with Workskil Australia. We'll provide comprehensive training, and help you achieve a Certificate IV in Employment Services within the first 12 months on the job.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployment Coach is a dynamic and rewarding position. You will play a key role in assisting our customers to set and achieve their goals while meeting the contractual requirements of an employment service provider.
Your Day-to-day Can Include The FollowingAssisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challengesDelivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planningPreparing quality resumes, cover letters and supporting the job application processFinding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalfReferring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counsellingProviding additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employmentDocumenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systemsAbout YouYou'll be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others. You will be self-motivated, inclusive and open-minded, and willing to listen and support without judgement. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWorking independently and as part of a teamAbility to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIsStrong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and OutlookAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureMeeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minuteApplicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.

RemunerationA competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
