Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment) Our client is a leading national privately-owned transport and 3PL services business providing a range of interstate and local transport services and 3PL warehousing services with depots and warehousing facilities throughout Australia. In this role, you will be a state leader in the overall safety and compliance management of its Qld operations.
Reporting to the GM, HSEQ, your key responsibilities will include:
Champion the HSEQ Take 5 programDevelop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a safe work environmentConduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls to mitigate potential risksInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to assess causes and implement corrective and preventative actionsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsMaintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to HSEQ activitiesManage and control workers' compensation claimsDevelop and implement return to work programsMost likely, you should be tertiary or post-secondary qualified in OH&S and have a successful operational safety and compliance management background, preferably in the transport and 3PL industry in Australia.
High-level communication, leadership, relationship management, planning skills, and technical knowledge are essential in this crucial senior management position with an Australian leader in transport services.
