About the program AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems.
AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include: As the Verification and Validation Lead, you will lead V&V activities with the customer, broader SEIT team, product teams and suppliers to achieve system V&V with overall system acceptance the delivered outcome.
Some key responsibilities include; Overall responsibility for AIR6500 performance of V&V Ensure the V&V has an integrated approach, defined in plans, approved and followed including the establishment of formal working groups Delivering V&V outcomes within an Agile delivery framework Work with the Systems Engineering team to establish the Verification Cross Reference Matrix ensuring customer agreement through an Agile delivery process Work with product teams, specialty teams to ensure a 'left shift' test approach providing OQE for V&V Define requirements and ensure acquisition of infrastructure to support V&V such as labs, tooling, licences, customer furnished items, etc.

About you: To be successful in the role you will have extensive knowledge & experience of Defence Test & Evaluation, demonstrated experience leading successful outcomes in a large delivery team, along with; Advanced experience working and leading contractual processes and deliverables Excellent ability to apply experiential judgement and lateral approaches to complex problem solving.
Strong experience in contempary delivery methodologies, process, tools, standards Control Account Management (CAM) including an understanding of Earned Value Management Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
