We are currently seeking an experienced mining consultant on a permanent full-time basis to join our Australian team based in our Hendra office. The role of the consultant will be to provide consulting and training services for our MineProtect portfolio of products to a growing range of clients in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Specific DutiesProvide training and consulting services to our customers on the effective use and operation of our MineProtect solutions.Conduct system audits, measure and analyze production performance, and provide recommendations for operations improvements.Assist with tenders and requirements scoping for potential projects.Conduct pre-sales tasks including configuration testing and field trials.Assist sales teams with technical expertise relating to sales proposals and system usage requirements.Perform troubleshooting of high-level system issues.Major Areas of ResponsibilityDesign and develop new training documents.Identifying issues and opportunities for improvement with Hexagon MineProtect installed at customer mine sites and re-configuring systems as required.Providing training to operators, mine controllers, maintenance personnel, and other customer personnel in the use and operation of systems at client sites.Preparing scoping and requirements documentation.Preparing reports on the performance of the deployed solution at the client site and recommendations for improvements as required.Communicating directly with customers and assisting Business Development and Account Managers with new opportunities and existing account relationships.Utilizing relationships developed with customers and other contacts to advise the sales team of potential issues affecting customers as well as other opportunities for Hexagon Mining.Taking ownership and responsibility for customer issues and problems and seeing them through to resolution wherever possible.Be available for on-call support as required (primarily escalations).Attend site and company meetings in person or remotely.Attend trade shows as required in a technical capacity.Represent Hexagon Mining in a helpful, professional, and courteous manner at all times.Skills and Experience RequiredKeen interest in providing a superior level of customer service and support to our clients.Previous experience working with Collision Avoidance Systems, Operator Alert Systems, or working with Autonomous Mining Systems.At least 5 years' experience with mining Safety Systems.Experience working in the mining industry.
