INDUSTRY TRAINER & ASSESSOR
This position could be Full-time, Casual, or Contractor, depending on the suitable applicant. Based in either Gladstone or Rockhampton.
We are looking for a qualified Trainer and Assessor with proven industry experience. The successful candidate should have the ability to train some or most of the following qualifications across our training facilities in Gladstone, Rockhampton and Biloela:
Work Safely at Heights, Enter and Work in a Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres, Work in Accordance with an Issued Permit, Operate a Forklift, EWP under 11 metres, Chainsaw, Standard 11, First Aid, CPR/LVR, Prepare to work safely in the Construction Industry (White Card), Conduct Skid Steer Loader Operations, Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations, Conduct Civil Front End Loader Operations, Operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane, Conduct Lifting Operations.
Holding a High-Risk Assessor Licence for assessing Licence to Operate a Forklift and Operate a Boom Type EWP would be an advantage.
Reporting to the Manager, the Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for the professional delivery of nationally accredited and recognised training and compliance within the engaged industry.
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
Deliver structured, relevant, and engaging training sessions to all learners and assist them in achieving their training objectives through assessments, observations and mentoring. Create, implement and manage individual training plans. Complete administrative duties and training documentation as required. Experience and knowledge required:
TAE40116 – Certificate IV Training and Assessment. Ideally, 5+ years' experience as a TAE Trainer/Assessor. Have industry currency, skills, knowledge and qualifications. Intermediate PC skills. Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Current Police Check and Working with Children's check or willing to obtain.
