Role Purpose: Reporting into the VP of Engineering, the Tech Lead will be the authority on technical design and development, along with fulfilling people and leadership roles representing a given Product Area within the Epsilon Retail Media System.
This role works with the Product Manager, Design Lead and Engineering Manager for the Product Area to form the leadership team.
Together they define the roadmap, plan scrum team allocation and make decisions on the future direction of that Product Area.
This role will be the decision authority within their Product Area for all aspects of the system from frontend to backend to infrastructure.
The Tech Lead will steer the design of the software system and provide technical guidance to teams across the entire tech stack.
The role comes from a strong software development background with an extensive knowledge of appropriate policies, procedures, and issues related to software development and how best to manage them.
They will be the "go to" person for technical matters within their respective product area, so will be competent within the relevant technical domains.
They should be competent in other technical domains used by Epsilon Retail Media and understand how the various parts of the system connect and function together.
Responsibilities and duties: Demonstrates competency in all technology roles within the product area to ensure sufficient capability in supporting those roles and the whole product area.
Additionally, can assist in those roles if required.Capable of performing competent code review with clear, constructive, and polite feedback.Supports the growth and development of technology team members within the product area.Provides guidance and support to all initiative squads within the product area through activities such as design and code review, and as necessary becoming directly involved with the squad in development.Participates in planning the roadmap and general strategy within the product area.Actively be on the lookout for and investigate new technologies or methodologies that could be applicable to the product area.Act as the foremost authority on technical aspects such as system design, and technology choice within their respective product area.A general understanding of the technologies used, and patterns of software development followed in the Epsilon Retail Media Platform.QualificationsWork Experience and skills: Experience supporting and leading application development and software engineering functions.Experience in developing in Cloud-based methodologies and environments.Experience with CI/CD pipelines.Excellent understanding of microservices, containerization and container orchestration platforms.Must possess strong leadership skills and generate enthusiasm among team members.Experience with Java and Typescript.Experience with Angular, React, NestJS, NodeJS.Experience with Terraform.Experience with Containerization and Container Orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes respectively.Relevant AWS or GCP or MCSD or other certifications.Additional InformationEpsilon is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities by using reasonable efforts to attract, recruit, engage and retain qualified individuals of all ethnicities and backgrounds, including, but not limited to, women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities and any other underrepresented groups, traits or characteristics.
