Due to our ongoing growth and some exciting projects in the pipeline, Magryn & Associates is seeking an experienced and passionate Structural/Maritime Engineer to join our team.
This is an opportunity to assist in delivering some meaningful and impactful projects that make a real difference in our communities, for our private, local and state government clients.
We undertake design and investigation of engineering structures and facilities in the disciplines of structural, maritime and coastal. This allows us to provide a broad range of professional development opportunities to our engineering team through the diverse projects that we undertake. Some of the projects you may be involved in include:
the design of maritime/coastal structures, including jetties, wharfs, boat ramps, seawalls and breakwatersthe design of buildings in residential, commercial & industrial structuresdesign of boardwalks, bridges and other public realm structuresthe design of tensile shade structuresDo you enjoy midday walks and swims from our office by the beach? We are looking for someone who is:
A collaborative and proactive team member, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.A passionate engineer with technical problem-solving skills.Inspired to make positive change in our communities.3 - 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a consulting environment.Experience in leading the delivery of engineering projects, with a track record of successful implementation, dealing directly with clients and subconsultants.Experience in the coastal/maritime sector is desirable (not not a requirement, as mentorship and development opportunities are available)And someone who brings:
Relevant qualifications (e.g. bachelor's, master's).Experience preferable within a consulting environment.Project management, commercial acumen and time management skills.Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex engineering concepts to diverse stakeholders.Established in 1994, Magryn is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, with a mission to make a difference in our communities. You will be expected to liaise with clients directly and run multiple projects at any one time. The position is mainly office based with site visits across Australia as needed. A current driving licence is essential.
All candidates should be based in Adelaide or willing to relocate here at their own cost. No sponsorship is available.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
