Remuneration: AHP2 ($86,950 - $100,729 p.a. +11% Super) / PO2 ($86,950 - $96,223 p.a. + 11% Super)
Role Details The Department for Child Protection is seekingmultiple Senior SocialWorkers and Senior CaseManagers to join the Kinship Assessment Team (locatedin Blair Athol) and Long Term Guardianship team (located inAdelaide CBD).
The role is responsible for:
Undertaking a comprehensive social work assessment inrelation to transfer of guardianship and kinship care andidentifying potential risk factors, including training andsupport requirements Making recommendations for carer support and ensuringefficient and effective communication with all identifiedstakeholders, preparing high quality reports, memos andpresentations Operating within and across relevant professional networksto enable all perspectives to be considered when assessing thecapacity and motivation of carers Identifying, collecting and sharing information aboutpotential kinship carers and guardians and theirsituations.
About You We are looking for a motivated, organised individual who hasknowledge and understanding of children and young peopleparticularly in regards to developmental stages.
You will have experience in planning, developing, implementingand evaluating interventions aimed at meeting the needs of clients,families and the organisation.
The successful applicant will also have the ability to applyculturally sensitive child protection practice for Aboriginal andTorres Strait Islander people, and community from culturally andlinguistically diverse backgrounds.

Special Conditions Essential: AHP: A degree level qualification in Social Workwhich gives eligibility for full membership of the AustralianAssociation of Social Workers.
PO: Appropriate degree qualification in CommunityServices, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or relatedfield.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanderdescent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do nothave the essential qualification, may apply for and beengaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitledto apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring aqualification in Social Work within the Department for ChildProtection (DCP).
