The Opportunity
As a Senior Psychologist (Clinical/Counselling/Forensic) – Secure Care you will:
Implement a systemic approach and provide clinical leadership in the identification and support of the safety, social, emotional, and educational needs of children during their admission and their transition back into the community. Coordinate and/or provide short-term psychological intervention to children who are admitted to Secure Care in the context of experiences of complex trauma and disrupted attachment histories. Undertake trauma informed therapeutic planning to guide risk management and the provision of therapeutic care for children. Liaise with key stakeholders to plan for children's safety, social, emotional, and psychological needs to be met during their transition back into the community. Support Secure Care staff to build and maintain their capacity to provide a high level of therapeutic care to children and consistently respond in a trauma informed way. There is currently one (1) fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of twelve (12) months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Qualification Requirements
You must have a Master's degree in clinical or counselling or forensic psychology AND full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a Psychologist with specialist area endorsement.
