The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Senior Project Management Specialist to join our Program Management (PM) Function to work within the Program Management Office (PMO) team. Our PM Function supports all BDA programs, projects, and PM specialists across Australia. Our vision is to Engage, Enable and Educate in all areas related to program management people, processes, and tools. We are looking for a motivated individual to support our mission and work across a diverse range of tasks. As well as supporting and working within our team you will have the opportunity to gain exposure and build your professional network as we connect with stakeholders across the company.
This role can be based at Brisbane, Amberley, Williamtown or Adelaide.
Responsibilities Lead assurance activities such as RIO and Change Management reviews, system health checks, PMBP self-assessments and Independent Reviews. Development, upkeep and implementation of PM processes, standards, policies and procedures in alignment with enterprise. Lead and support Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) reviews. Lead and support PM Training development and delivery. Lead PM Functional Continuous Improvement or Strategy to Action projects, as assigned. Provide support to PM Tools such as BORIS, JIRA, Confluence. Support the delivery of internal project management training. Actively respond and support help needed across the business. Proactively engage with project stakeholders including Customers and Business Leaders to deliver results. About you You are a dynamic leader who will bring technical skills, effective communication and relationship building strengths to support our Program Management Function and the PMO team. You are someone who is comfortable working autonomously and as part of a wider community to seek and drive continuous improvement.

Experience and Qualifications Extensive experience in managing complex projects to successful completion. Formal Project Management, Engineering, Business or Management qualifications is desired, however, prior experience will be considered. Experience leading or working within a program of works / Project Management Office. Demonstrated proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted industry project management standards. Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to exert influence at multiple organisational levels. High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Drive and passion to grow capability, mentor and coach other PM professionals. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian defence security clearance.
