The Opportunity
We are partnering with a Government Client to fill a critical role for a Senior Network Engineering Expert.
This role is essential for managing, supporting, and developing core infrastructure capabilities, including data centre network, server, desktop, security, and networking infrastructure.
This position will help the Australian Government advance its infrastructure reliability and security, contributing directly to its vision of becoming a leading digital government.
Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Planning: Manage infrastructure requirements, ensuring scalability and robustness.Network Management: Oversee and support WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewall, router, and switch environments.Data Centre Operations: Ensure data centre, server, desktop, and mainframe infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently.Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, design and implementation plans, and support procedures.Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with cross-agency teams, service providers, and suppliers to enhance service delivery and share insights.Team Leadership: Guide a team of engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and setting strategic direction.Change Management: Drive innovation, lead change initiatives, and ensure that the infrastructure is continuously improved and aligns with our client's strategic vision.Technology Stack Primary Technologies: Cisco Network, F5 Products, Palo Alto Firewalls, Infoblox DNS Solutions, Linux Administration, Web Proxy.Networking Protocols: Expertise in EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and network management tools.Key Attributes At least five years of experience in large-scale data centre networking design, management, and maintenance.Strong problem-solving skills and experience with high-level and detailed network designs.Proficiency in dynamic routing protocols and network diagnostics.Ability to work independently with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why Join Us?
