Senior Manager - Defence Project Engineering

The Role Coras have an immediate need for a Senior Manager in Canberra with outstanding Engineering and Project Management skills and experience in the Defence Industry. This Service Delivery role sits within our Land, Air, National Security and Enabling segment, and will see you providing Project Engineering consulting services to our Defence clients in the Land and / or Air Domains. We are looking for a person with Engineering qualifications and experience, and proven Project Management experience within the One Defence Capability System. Candidates who are known for their ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders will be highly regarded. Our Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders while working within or managing a project team. You have experience working in the Australian Defence environment supporting Commonwealth organisations, and you have an understanding and accreditations inProject Management methodologies. Further, you are experienced in technical Engineering planning, system integration and verification and validation activities. Being a Defence consultancy, please note all Coras team members are required to be Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.

Required skills and attributes include: Relevant qualifications and accreditations in Project Management A Bachelor or equivalent level qualification in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical / Mechatronic, Aerospace, or other relevant Engineering field) Previous experience providing Project Engineering services to Defence, preferably within the Land or Air Domains Working knowledge ofthe One Defence Capability System A strong track record of managing resources to ensure all project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget Humanistic, with a high level of emotional intelligence Persistent, resilient, and proactive problem-solver Excellent communicator, collaborator and facilitator Excellent planner with a high attention todetail An active NV1 Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory): Experience in managing the development of capability definition artefacts and other pre-Gate 0 and Gate 1 deliverables Working knowledge of the ASDEFCON suite Experience in "Above the Line" support directly to the Commonwealth
