The Role
ASD is seeking highly qualified candidates with extensive experience in workforce planning and contract management in a federal government agency setting to join the team responsible for enabling ASD engagement and management of contractor, consultant, and outsourced service provider personnel.
ASD is looking for highly experienced personnel at the EL2 level to join this dynamic and fast-paced team to creatively problem-solve and address challenges as they arise.
The successful candidate will be required to establish their own team - through proven people, financial, and other resource management - whilst achieving impactful results across the enterprise in short timeframes, and building enduring long-term governance frameworks.

ASD is entering an exciting phase of growth, innovation and transformation. Our agency has committed to delivering REDSPICE , which is the most significant single investment in the Australian Signals Directorate's 75 years.
The Branch is responsible for the provision of enabling services, support and guidance to the REDSPICE program and across the enterprise.
The Director will be a highly organised, dynamic, outcome orientated individual with very good communication skills.

Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in both human resources and complex contract management in a federal government or comparable setting, as well as engaging in detailed workforce planning or similar activities.
The ideal candidate for the role will have a broad range of experience across the Australian Public Service, with a preference for managing large numbers of people and high-value contracts at across large departments or agencies.
The ability to facilitate difficult conversations with stakeholders, generate positive outcomes from contested negotiations, engage in effective performance management, communicate widely with influence, maintain excellent time management, work with impact in highly stressful situations, and thrive under time-critical deadlines will all considered highly desirable in the ideal candidate.
