About The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the accounting, tax, internal controls, cost management, accounts payable, management reporting, and regulatory reporting areas for OKX Australia. Develop effective and automated processes for financial reporting and analytics, overseeing the accounts payable process and all company operating expenses. Prepare financial statements for external audits, regulatory reporting/inquiries, and management reporting. Lastly, implement a month closing process for the local entity and integrate the close with the consolidated group.
What You'll Be Doing
Take ownership of the accounting, tax, internal controls, cost management, accounts payable, management reporting, and regulatory reporting areas for all OKX Australian entities Prepare financial statements for external audits, regulatory reporting, regulatory inquiries, and management reporting Lead the establishment and monitoring of the local banking infrastructure Manage the day-to-day customer operations for fiat on-ramps Perform month-end closing and group reporting for the Australian entities within the required timeline Adopt the consolidated group's cost management system and localize it for specific requirements Oversee the accounts payable process and all company operating expenses Lead the local financial statements audit of the OKX Australian entities Establish internal controls around financial reporting processes, including dealing with external advisors and ensure accurate records are maintained to meet regulatory requirements (e.g. ATO and ASIC) for the OKX Australian entities Develop effective and automated processes for financial reporting and analytics Assist in navigating the regulatory landscape, including staying on top of evolving reporting requirements and tax mandates in the Australia jurisdiction Support process improvement within Finance Support business expansion need with Finance's input What We Look For In You
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics 10+ years of relevant experience in the financial services, payments, fintech, or crypto industries Deep understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations, including consolidations, intercompany, and transfer pricing Experience with financial controllership functions, budgeting & forecasting, modeling, performance reporting Experience with handling financial requirements related to Australian financial services (AFS) licensing Understanding of the cost management framework and how to connect it with a systematic AP process with the ability to input systematic flows The skillset to work within the demands of a fast-paced startup environment Experience leading complex projects end to end involving multiple stakeholders Independent individual that can be working independently or as a team depending on the requirements Keen to learn and can-do attitude Ability to exercise sound judgment and clearly articulate outcomes to senior management Self-starting problem solver, able to self-identify and execute new tasks as they emerge, and solve problems proactively to full completion without significant direction Nice To Haves
Master degree (or equivalent) or accounting certification Experience working across time zones and cross cultural teams Bonus points if you have previously worked at a crypto exchange!
