What you'd be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA.
You will take ownership of a rapidly growing domain focused on customer feedback and user research at Canva.
Your role involves collaborating with team members to develop solutions that enable users to quickly resolve issues and close the loop.
You'll gain hands-on experience in writing reusable code and technical documentation while leading projects, driving experiments, and collaborating with multiple teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer skilled in communication and designing systems that balance simplicity and flexibility.
Amongst many other exciting things, you will be:
Building services, tools, and frameworks that help rapidly and effectively solve user issues across multiple domains. Working closely with stakeholders and designers to create world-class support experiences. Collaborating within and across teams to create holistic solutions. Identifying and improving practices and methodologies for frontend and backend engineering. Finding opportunities for cross-team collaboration to work on new ideas and improvements. Empowering and mentoring other engineers. You're probably a match if... You have strong commercial experience developing complex, distributed applications writing services in Java. You're a senior backend engineer who has a proven track record of solving complex problems. You have disciplined coding practices and experience with code reviews and pull requests.
You model best practices to your peers. You enjoy working collaboratively with team members, communicating effectively, and taking ownership of projects and outcomes. You've perfected the balance between big-picture thinking and nailing the details. About the team The User Help Experience team is part of the wider User Voice group.
We help to empower every user to instantly solve their issue or answer their question as we scale our way to support 1 billion users.
More specifically, The Support Profile & Pathways squad delivers an exceptional customer experience by building innovative self-help tools, creating streamlined user experiences, developing scalable systems, capturing and sharing customer insights, and working closely with the AI Assistant and Help Centre teams.
