Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting) Core Talent is partnering with a well-established mid-tier accounting firm in Brisbane, experiencing significant growth and seeking an experienced Senior Accountant.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Public Practice and Business Services accounting, along with a CPA or CA qualification (or be working towards it).
You will manage your own portfolio of accounts, requiring a strong understanding of taxation, particularly Div 7A, as well as experience with corporate, partnership, trust, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
Key responsibilities include: Preparing financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting StandardsConducting month-end and year-end closing proceduresPreparing and lodging tax returns for various entitiesAdvising clients on tax planning strategies and complianceBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsConducting client meetings to discuss financial performance and strategyAssisting with audit processes and preparing supporting documentationConducting internal audits and financial reviewsProviding business advisory services, including cash flow forecasting and budgetingIdentifying opportunities for process improvementsSupervising and mentoring junior staffEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirements (ASIC, ATO, etc.
)Staying updated on changes in accounting standards and tax legislationUtilizing accounting software (e.g.
MYOB AE, MYOB Account Right, Xero) for record-keeping and reportingTraining clients and staff on software usageManaging workload effectively to meet deadlinesMaintaining accurate client files for complianceIn return, you will receive a competitive remuneration and benefits package that rivals larger firms in the industry.
