Coaching at Brisbane Girls Grammar School The Sport Program at Brisbane Girls Grammar School offers 18 competitive and several non-competitive sporting activities. The School is a founding member of the Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association (QGSSSA) competition, participates in a range of Brisbane club association fixtures and offers a comprehensive Interhouse Program.
Brisbane Girls Grammar School is seeking Rowing Coaches to contribute to the School's exceptional Sport Program. The coach's role is to deliver coaching sessions that provide a safe environment for athletes and to develop skills, tactical awareness, teamwork and enjoyment of the sport.
Due to the large size of the program, we are seeking coaches with varying experience and qualifications.
Pay rates vary according to experience, qualifications and coaching responsibilities. Experienced coaches may be paid on a casual basis (minimum two-hour shifts). Less experienced coaches may receive an honorarium in recognition of their voluntary contribution to the School and the development and support of students.

First VIII Rowing coach
Trainings
Rowing training will commence in Term 2, 2025. The First VIII crew will train multiple times a week, both water sessions and land sessions in Terms 2 and 3. Trainings will be scheduled mornings and afternoons.
Competition
BGGS Rowing is a member School of the Brisbane Schoolgirls Rowing Association. BGGS competes in the BSRA regattas in Term 3.
