The pilot is happening in selected areas of the East Division, West Division and North Division, within the Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (the department or DFFH). The pilot aims to bring the voice of renters to the department's recruitment process. It also aims to demonstrate the department's commitment to client voice. Renters have expressed their desire and demonstrated the benefit of having their voices heard and ideas acted on. This is just one of a number of ways Homes Victoria and the Department of Families Fairness and Housing (the department) are focusing on renter voice. Lived experience is the knowledge, expertise, insights, experiences and outcomes of people, families, and caregivers with previous or current involvement with the community services system. This system includes services provided by: the department, such as child protection or housing community services organisations Lived experience is shaped by a person's unique knowledge and intersections of personal attributes such as race, gender and disability. For this role lived experience relates to the knowledge, expertise, insights, experiences and outcomes of people who live in public housing. In this role you will bring your lived experience, perspective and insights to the recruitment process. You will help conduct fair, merit-based recruitment that considers the suitability of candidates from a renter perspective.
