About the Role
We are seeking applications for the role of Rail HSQE Manager to join our team based at our Glengowrie Depot.
The Rail HSQE Manager is vital to our business in providing timely and accurate support to our organisation in all areas of Rail, Health, Safety, Quality and Environment.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Lead and manage the development, implementation, and ongoing review of all HSQE strategies, initiatives and plans to ensure the health and safety of all workers within the business and facilitate ongoing HSQE improvement (including protection of the environment).Ensuring compliance requirements are being met to ensure AS/NZ ISO Certification.Manage Rail HSQE inspections, interactions and audit.Update, review, develop and implement Torrens Connects Integrated Management System, MBOS, and supporting documentation, Policies, Plans, Procedures etc.Support the Permit to Work Coordinator in regard to Rail HSQE by reviewing and approving SWMS to enable workers to access Torrens Connect assets to undertake activities.Integrate HSE risk management into the operational environment including, establishing systems, registers, and records necessary to ensure the effective management of risks in accordance with statutory requirements, company objectives and supportive of a positive safety culture.Develop Rail HSQE reports for both internal and external stakeholders (ie ONRSR and SafeWork).Develop and implement new Rail HSQE programs and training initiatives.Coordinate pre-employment/periodic medicals and support the onboarding of new employees.Support the business and provide ongoing advice related to the prevention of incidents and injuries and Rail HSQE matters.Monitor and interpret relevant HSQE and rail guidelines, policies, and regulations in order to provide direction and advice to projects which meet statutory and corporate objectives and responsibilities.Perform, manage, coordinate and support AMO leaders with the investigation, reporting and corrective actions associated with incidents and non-conformances within MBOS including running ICAM investigations.Administratively maintain various databases and registers and provide information and data as required ensuring legislative compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.Development and maintenance of the company and corporate risk registers.Support and undertake adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed.About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualification in either WHS, Rail Safety, Environmental Health/Science with minimum 3 years' experience in Work, Health & Safety.Lead Auditor qualification in either ISO 9001/14001/45001 is essential.Demonstrated knowledge and application of ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015.Demonstrated experience in legislation review, interpretation, and implementation.Proficient in the use of Risk Management Software and Microsoft Office and Excel.ICAM Lead Investigator qualification is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).Demonstrated experience within the transport Industry preferably in rail, light rail or aviation is desirable.If you want to be part of an organisation that appreciates the diversity of its people and seeks to create inclusive environments that promote your talent and skills, please click the apply button and forward a copy of your resume and cover letter outlining why you want this position and how your skills meet the position criteria.
