About the Business Unit: The Offender Services and Reintegration division of Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including case management, education and employment, prison industries and rehabilitation and reintegration supports. The division contributes to a safer community by supporting a safe and humane corrections system that provides opportunities for rehabilitation, supports reintegration and works toward Aboriginal self-determination. The Employment Pathways Team within Corrections Victoria is engaged in developing and implementing a state-wide coordinated employment function across Victoria's prison system. This role works directly with the Employment Specialists located at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and Tarrengower. About the Role: As a key member of the Employment Specialists team you will be primarily involved in assisting the delivery of existing and new employment services and programs to both prison staff and to people in prisons. The role will also include opportunities to participate in service and process improvement, delivery strategy and leadership. The aims of this employment function are to provide practical support and options for people in prison to access sustainable employment post release. Some of your duties will include: Working closely with the Women's Employment Specialists to build awareness and understanding of the Employment Hub and specific employment services and support within the prison community through relationship building with staff and strategic communication efforts directed to people in prison Assisting the Women's Employment Specialist to connect people in prisons with specialist employment agencies and existing employment programs such as Outside Jobs and Vacro Second Change Jobs programs – extracting and collating relevant candidate information, booking meetings with agencies, taking minutes, and noting follow up actions Working with the Women's Employment Specialists to advertise, promote and manage recruitment efforts as par
