Our state government client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the department's Data Services migration to AWS, a pivotal role with extensive influence on business transformation and cloud enablement. With 8 integrated projects spanning applications, infrastructure, networking, testing, implementation, and decommissioning, this role demands a visionary leader prepared to drive operational readiness and deliver on strategic goals. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the migration of Data Services to AWS, ensuring comprehensive operational readiness.Collaborate with a diverse group of PMs across eight projects, integrating data services within the overarching Cloud Enablement Program.Manage project financials, stakeholder engagements, and procurement processes.Facilitate the development of cohesive migration artifacts with input from engineers, data governance, and BAU teams.Drive cultural transformation within the team, fostering pragmatic solutions amid ongoing organizational change.Highly Desirable CriteriaExtensive experience with large-scale AWS Cloud projects and data service programs.Strong analytical abilities and background in data services program or project management.Proven ability to navigate and lead in high-pressure, transitional environments.Relationship-building expertise with executive and business stakeholders.Familiarity with data lake house capabilities and cloud usage.Proficiency in facilitating large cross-functional teams toward cohesive project outcomes.Experience working within an environment where BAU uplift is essential to meeting tight timelines.Skills and ExperienceSenior-level experience in project or program management, ideally at a Project Director level.Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale cloud and data initiatives.Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, thriving in evolving roles and high-stakes settings.Collaborative approach, able to work flexibly and strategically with minimal handover.Engage in a high-impact role with the potential for long-term contribution.Work with an experienced Master Scheduler and change management team to streamline the transition to cloud.Opportunity to leverage AWS and potentially explore AI advancements.For a confidential chat, please contact Raisa at or via email at .
