Project Engineering Manager

As part of our Civil group, the Project Engineering Manager will participate in and ensure the delivery of engineering artefacts as an outcome of works assigned from Projects, Support, Strategy & Capture and Business Development.
Working closely in collaboration with the Project Delivery and Strategy and Capture teams to drive project/bid success respectively.
Further, the successful candidate will: Analyse system requirements and interfaces to ensure customer needs are understood and implemented.Work with the Strategy & Capture team to develop technical solutions to meet opportunity specification/briefs.Engage with suppliers and subcontractors (and other relevant stakeholders) to obtain best solution and pricing for bids.Assist the Business Development and Strategy & Capture teams to work with customers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their requirements.Monitor and report status against the execution of the identified work packages.Participation in the generation of engineering solutions and estimates for the Strategy and Capture team.About youYour skills and experience will include: Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum 4 years of Engineering and/or Engineering Management experience.Demonstrated competence in engineering leadership with recognized broad-based experience.An understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle and common guiding standards.Experience in the engineering development of integrated system designs.Communications and customer relations.Experience in working with sub-contractors and suppliers.About usSaab Australia is a defence, security and cyber solutions provider, specialising in the development and integration of major defence and security systems.
