THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the highly experienced Group Payroll Manager, the Payroll Team Leader will assume responsibility for a high-performing team of seven Payroll Officers who process payrolls for around 6000+ employees.
It is a largely self-sufficient team with multiple long-tenured members.
You will have a small portfolio to process yourself but a major priority of the role is to ensure that the Payroll team operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
Other areas of focus for this role include but are not limited to the below:
Process Improvement & Service DeliveryContributing to ongoing projectsEnsuring Customer Service KPIs are metTraining of new Team MembersActing as a point of escalation for complex queriesPayroll reporting, and auditing employee master file dataPOSITIVESThis is a stepping-stone position for any career-minded Payroll Professional who desires to be a Payroll Manager in a large organisation.
This role will provide you with the combination of people management/high volume that is the key to getting to the Senior Management level.
