The Opportunity There is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and engaging Payroll Officer to join the Finance team at Trinity Grammar School, Kew.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for the payroll function, working in a cooperative manner to ensure that all services provided are delivered efficiently and effectively to meet overall objectives.

Some duties you will be involved with include:
End to end payroll processing for 300+ staff across multiple pay cycles.
Managing fortnightly and monthly payment runs.
Interpreting the School's Enterprise Agreement and associated Awards.
Calculation of PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments.
Processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments.
Providing accurate information in response to employee payroll queries.
Other tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.
Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
Ensure accuracy of payroll and personal information whilst adhering to deadlines.
Develop and maintain payroll processes for efficient operation.
What we are looking for: Prior payroll officer experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated professionalism and discretion given the exposure to confidential information.
Experience with MicrOpay would be advantageous.
Experience within the education industry would be advantageous.
Experience working in a complex, highly regulated environment.
High level of organisation and able to work autonomously and to deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely about payroll matters at all levels of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in a similar role and experience with MicrOpay.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to provide support in a team environment, and a keen eye for detail will be the foundations for success in this role.
You must have a customer service approach and be genuinely collaborative and engaging.
You will have strong time management skills and prior experience in a busy payroll environment.
