Make an Impact We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Disability Team Leader to join our team in South Brisbane and support young people engaged with the child protection system who have disabilities, in 24/7 Supported Independent Living. Balancing youth work and disability care, you will create safe, nurturing environments that empower young people to achieve their goals.
Using person-centred, trauma-informed frameworks, the Team Leader will guide staff in supporting young people with diverse and complex needs. They will foster emotional, social, and cultural wellbeing within the home and community, build strong inter-departmental relationships with state and federal bodies, and act as a key liaison for escalation matters. With a passion for positive change, the Team Leader will drive a holistic approach to support young people's transition to adulthood while promoting team cohesion and capability through empowering leadership.
Other key duties will include: Lead and manage staff performance, training, and development to ensure service excellence. Oversee rostering and shift coverage for 24/7 operations, optimising wage costs. Build a positive, high-performing team culture focused on person-centred support. Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to enhance service delivery. Ensure compliance with policies and operational standards, including complex care needs. Drive innovation, streamline operations, and identify growth opportunities. Provide escalation support for complex matters and foster program expansion. Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Endeavour Foundation services. What you can bring to the team With strong leadership skills and experience developing and managing staff to ensure high-quality, person-centred services, you will excel at fostering a positive team culture while balancing operational efficiency, including effective rostering and performance management.
We also require: Bachelor's degree in human services or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years' human services experience in Case Management and/or leadership roles. Ability to work within relevant legislation and guidelines relating to the delivery of services with the program area of operation. Previous experience working with young people within a disability context with demonstrated experience of trauma informed practice will be advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of people. Proficient computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook. Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
