Council is seeking a Network Operator/Plant Operator to join their Utilities team to undertake construction and maintenance activities on Councils water and sewer infrastructure through the skilled operation of trucks and machinery, along with general labouring duties as required. This position is based at Dalby. Reporting to the Utilities Network Supervisor East, you will be: Operating various types of trucks, plant and machinery, primarily Medium Rigid trucks; Operating various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in construction and maintenance works; Participating in standby roster for afterhours work; Undertaking routine maintenance of assigned equipment. About yourself The successful applicant will have: Knowledge and experience in various aspects of Civil Construction and maintenance works OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience; Current MR Class or higher Licence; WHS Construction White Card; Ability and willingness to obtain other competencies as required relevant to the position eg: Confined space entry, MUTCD level 2, Working at heights, Trench shoring.
