Mechanical Trade Assistant Looking to begin or advance your career as a mechanical trade assistant, an exciting opportunity currently exists at the Grange Golf Club, a private member's golf club and host of the highly successful LIV Golf Adelaide.
Collaborating with our qualified Senior Turf Technician in the lead up to the event in 2025 & 2026, this is a hands-on role that will include day-to-day training, support and guidance in the fine tuning of turf maintenance machinery. This will be a unique role within a high performing team where quality is always prioritised over quantity.

Minimum 30 hours available - 5:30am - 2:00pm, flexible days upon agreement with Senior Turf Technician. An increase in hours in the lead up to and during tournament and course renovations is required.
Your Roles within the Organisation Assist the Senior Turf Technician in undertaking the regular service and maintenance program for all machinery used on the course and surrounding grounds including cylinder and rotary mowers, spray equipment, transport vehicles, tractors and earthmoving equipment as well as a wide range of small plant. Ensure Safe and efficient operation of all mowing equipment including assisting in prestart checks and washing, refuelling and placing all equipment in its designated area at the completion of the day, reporting any faults to the Senior Turf Technician and the Superintendent or his delegate. Maintain workshops, stores and surrounds in a neat, safe and tidy manner- ensuring the safe storage of all fuels and lubricants, workshop chemicals and spares. Be involved in maintaining complete records relating to the maintenance activities including labour, machinery maintenance, maintenance procedures, fuel use and inventory at the club and submit reports as required utilising existing maintenance programs/ data basis. Assist in the establishment and reviewing of Work Health and Safety and Environmental Management programs covering all aspects of workshop activities and equipment maintenance. Identification and reporting of areas for improvement, or problems that may be compromising the maintenance of the course or operations of the workshop and surrounding facility in accordance with the broad policies of the club.
