We are currently seeking a Mechanical / Maintenance Engineer to join our SA Quarries and Concrete team.
Reporting to the Asset Manager (Fixed & HME) – SA Quarries & Concrete, you will support the planning of maintenance activities and manage improvement projects for fixed plant assets within the SA Quarries & Concrete business.In this role, your expertise in identifying process improvements and implementing strategies will be crucial.
You will collaborate with the Stonyfell Workshop maintenance team and site managers to ensure that projects and initiatives align with long-term goals and operational requirements.Location: Primarily based at our Stonyfell Workshop office in Adelaide, with travel required to Boral sites across South Australia.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support and supervision for fixed plant upgrades and projects, with a focus on mechanical and structural design.Manage sub-contractors to ensure work is performed safely and to a high standard.Conduct problem-solving and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to understand critical failures and implement improvement actions.Offer engineering support for troubleshooting, repairs, and during planned maintenance and shutdowns.Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with Boral's safety requirements and standards.Design and implement engineering controls for identified hazards at sites.Review engineering documents and assist with document control for manuals and mechanical drawings.Take ownership of technical analysis for critical asset reports—crushers, screens, conveyors—interpreting vibration and oil sample results, and deciding on and implementing the best course of action.What We Are Looking ForDegree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Strong ability to manage, influence, and build rapport with stakeholders across various functions to effectively manage projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a practical approach and a strong achievement focus.Proficiency in CAD software.What's On OfferOpportunity to represent and contribute to a successful and highly regarded division within an industry-leading organization.Ongoing mentoring and guidance from experienced leaders and colleagues.Genuine career growth opportunities within Boral Australia.Competitive salary package, including a motor vehicle allowance, laptop, and phone.Access to support networks, including the Boral Employee Assistance Program.About Boral QuarriesBoral is Australia's leading quarry operator, with 76 quarries, sand pits and gravel operations, supplying about 30 million tonnes of product annually.
