We are seeking a Machine Operator Trainer and Assessor to train, mentor, and assess our operators across a range of machinery, from Excavators to Graders, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

About the Role: As the Machine Operator Trainer and Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to build a highly skilled workforce.
Your primary objective is to train operators to safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, including Excavators, Graders, Skid Steers, and HR licence machines.
You'll provide hands-on guidance, on-the-job training, and mentorship to junior and less experienced operators, fostering a safety-first culture while ensuring project needs are met with precision and care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the training and mentoring of new and less experienced machine operators, focusing on technical skill development and safety practices.Conduct on-the-job training and formal workshops, ensuring operators meet Newlands Group's high standards.Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate machinery usage and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Assess operators' performance and provide ongoing feedback to help them achieve operational excellence.Ensure that all training activities comply with Newlands Group's safety and quality standards.Maintain training records and documentation for all operators under your guidance.ABOUT YOU: 10+ years of experience operating heavy machinery in civil construction, including Graders, Excavators, Trucks, and Skid Steers.Proven ability to train and mentor operators, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Comprehensive knowledge of civil construction principles, safety regulations, and machinery best practices.Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guide operators in high-pressure environments.A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.QUALIFICATIONS: Construction Induction Card (Blue or White)Minimum HR Licence (Manual)WHY JOIN NEWLANDS?
