Learning and Development Officer – PerthWe have a unique opportunity within BEAR Scotland to join us as a Learning & Development Officer. Based in our Perth office, covering the whole business, both staff and operatives.
The Learning and Development Officer is a permanent post within the IMS department to provide a centralised service for the co-ordination of training, management of training records to fulfil business and contract requirements.
Responsibilities and Activities:
Coordinating the training for all employeesResponsible for coordination and administration with staff and supply chain providersDevelopment and maintaining training calendarsLiaising with Managers to ensure attendance of planned training eventsEnsure accurate records are maintained within the management system and communicated across the businessConducting comprehensive evaluation of all training and production of business reportsIdentification of funding / grants / developments in relation to trainingLiaison with awarding bodies, e.g CITB, Lantra, CSCS, etcIdentification and processing of grant claimsProduction and issue of training certificates / skills cardsWorking in accordance with management system processesProduction of monthly training report including training completed, planned for month aheadMaintain approved training supply chain registerAbility to work to timescalesAs the above list of duties is illustrative and not exhaustive, the post holder will be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the role as directed by the IMS ManagerKnowledge, Skills and Experience:
Project a professional company imagePrevious administration experience is essential preferably within a Learning and Development environmentExcellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel, Word and PowerpointKnowledge of budgetsExcellent communication skills including report writingAbility to plan and organiseCapable to self-manage work and self-motivateAbility to work effectively in a team environmentCustomer focused with excellent interpersonal skillsWhy BEAR?
