We are seeking an experienced IT Support Officer (Level 2) to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will not only provide technical support but also perform IT analysis to optimise systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise, and analytical skills, capable of supporting users directly while guiding the IT support team.
Key Responsibilities:Provide hands-on technical support for on-site and remote users, including troubleshooting workstation set-up, hardware/software issues, and resolving network connectivity problems.Serve as an escalation point for complex IT issues while still handling Level 1 tasks such as password resets, basic troubleshooting, and routine technical support.Perform systems analysis to identify inefficiencies, improve workflows, and recommend IT solutions to enhance business processes.Support engineering teams with basic CAD and other engineering software, coordinating with third-party vendors for escalations and licensing concerns.Manage installations, licence renewals, upgrades, and ensure systems are operating efficiently in collaboration with software and hardware vendors.Monitor IT systems and data analytics to generate insights and optimise performance across multiple platforms.Provide recommendations for IT infrastructure improvements, including network upgrades, hardware purchases, and software implementations.Oversee computer hardware stock and peripherals, maintaining accurate registers and recommending appropriate hardware specifications based on software needs.Ensure all hardware and software installations, as well as upgrades, are completed in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Develop and maintain detailed user guides and documentation for both users and the helpdesk team.Generate and analyse helpdesk performance reports, monitoring ticket volumes and trends to preempt issues and streamline service delivery.Provide remote IT support for additional sites as required, including responding to urgent Level 1 and Level 2 requests.Key Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in IT systems analysis.Ability to work hands-on with a wide range of IT support tasks, from basic troubleshooting to complex escalations.Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities, with a focus on mentoring junior team members.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities autonomously.What We Offer:Office-based role in Brisbane.Opportunities for professional growth and development in IT and systems analysis.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Exposure to exciting and challenging IT projects.How to Apply: If you are a dedicated and experienced IT Support Officer (Level 2) looking for a hands-on role with opportunities to lead, provide technical support, and analyse IT systems, we would love to hear from you!
