Government of the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) IT Specialist (Application Software) - Data Services Group $100,630.00 - $153,233.00 This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The Information Technology Specialist works closely with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and other District government stakeholders in conducting work that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Designing, developing, testing, implementing and supporting web-based applications using ASP.NET/C#, MVC, and other web technologies. Implementing SharePoint solutions in Office365 and Power Platform, Power Automate. Participates on project teams to establish business requirements for agency systems and provide technical solutions concerning complex problems. Interfaces with business users in a professional manner to understand their requirements and analyze requirements in order to plan and develop solutions. Responsible for writing system documentation of new applications. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) years of progressive experience performing duties and responsibilities such as programming and conducting systems analysis; developing end-to-end framework for enterprise-wide automated and system integration testing; writing test scripts, conducting testing, and implementing technical solutions; and must have a basic understanding of tax, compliance, or financial regulations. Experience with Python, Java or other programming language is required.
