THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a motivated intermediate/senior Accountant to join our business. You will develop customised financial reports and analysis to provide our clients the clarity and insights needed to make the best decisions. Your work will form part of our business intelligence/virtual CFO service, where we provide CFO support to businesses that need the benefits of financial expertise without the cost.
These activities have the end purpose of providing Directors, business owners and management teams with the analysis and advice they require to make better decisions for their businesses.
SELECTION CRITERIA Our ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce Commenced or eligible to commence CA or CPA program. Proven experience working as an Accountant in an Australian public practice firm is highly desirable (minimum 2-3 years). In-depth knowledge of Power BI (or other Business Intelligence software) for data visualisation and report creation is favourable. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting the Business Intelligence team with developing financial performance reports, budgets & forecasts, and other financial models for a range of clients across multiple exciting industries (no statutory reporting or general purpose financial statement prep!) Preparation of business valuations for clients looking to sell their business. Provide assistance to external client finance teams in a consultative capacity, including advice around finance function structure, processes and software improvement, ledger reviews, board meeting attendance and other CFO level assistance where required.
