We are looking for someone with sound experience in Hydraulic consulting design in the building services sector. The role is suitable for someone who is able to work independently on a wide range of projects with an ability to manage workload on several projects at any given time. You will be expected to regularly attend client facing meetings, industry events and will have good consulting skills.
The role will enable the successful applicant to develop in a professional and personal sense and to forge a challenging and rewarding career path in a successful global consulting organisation. We are currently working on a wide range of data centre, health care, commercial, retail, defence, industrial and educational building projects.
Our Adelaide office is central CBD, close to a range of public transport, cafes, and public parks. SA is home to some of the best wineries in the world, with beautiful beaches, forests and mountain ranges all within 30 minutes from the CBD!
Day to day tasks would involve: Undertaking Hydraulic engineering assessment and calculations for the detailed design of building structures Corresponding with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies Prioritising workloads whilst ensuring our clients' needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleagues both locally and across the international Stantec team Building and developing your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects Bringing value to in-house design/project meetings Providing positive contributions to our team culture Adhering to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures To be successful for this role you'll need: Be degree qualified in an engineering discipline Have experience working in the consulting or engineering industry and have a good understanding of the local buildings business. Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities Technical strength in understanding the key elements of the design and construction associated with Hydraulic Engineering works. Ability to multitask and deliver high profile projects in a timely manner Previous Hydraulic building services experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic About Stantec The Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
