The HMC Group has extensive aviation, tourism, and accommodation operations in some of the most iconic regions of Australia and is seeking to appoint a HR Advisor.The HMC Group is a collection of quality businesses under common ownership and has expanded rapidly in both geographic location and size of operations over the past 8 years.The HMC Group currently has offices in Perth, Kununurra, Broome, Karratha, Geraldton, and Adelaide, and has an expanding team of approaching 400 employees, with further and substantial business growth forecast over the next five years.Enterprises within the Group include:Nexus Airlines – Western Australia's newest regional airline, servicing Western Australia and beyond.Aviair – One of Australia's largest and leading fixed-wing general aviation operators with charter, scheduled services, and scenic flights operating throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara regions for corporate, mining, government, and tourism clients.HeliSpirit – HeliSpirit offers tourism helicopter services from eleven spectacular locations in the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Goldfields regions, as well as a range of corporate and charter helicopter services in the northwest of WA.Australian Helicopter Academy – Providing commercial helicopter pilot training.Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge & Guided Tours – Eco-accommodation in the heart of Purnululu National Park & guided walking tours with a focus on indigenous training and employment whilst also providing authentic indigenous tourism experiences.Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments – Kununurra's leading accommodation offering with sixty resort-style apartments.The PumpHouse Restaurant – An iconic Kununurra dining establishment on the banks of the Ord River offering a quality dining option to locals and visitors alike.Kimberley Experiences – Providing specialist and personalised Kimberley travel itineraries by highly experienced travel designers.About the roleIn this newly established position, you will receive exposure to the full employee lifecycle. The position can be based out of either our Perth, Broome, or Kununurra offices. This is a dynamic and high collaboration role with the ability to play an integral role in shaping the workforce and culture of the HMC Group into the future.Key duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Employee relations advice and support: Interpretation of relevant employee agreements, awards, and policies. Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on a range of HR queries. Stay up to date on all relevant HR legislation, regulations, and awards.Policy Development: Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and other process improvement initiatives. Adhere to policies and procedures and actively participate in all meetings and learning and development opportunities.HR Projects: Actively participate in a range of broader HR projects.HR Strategy: Work in a collaborative manner with the wider HR team to support organisational strategy.Training and Development: Oversee coordination of training and development including policies and procedures within the company.Record keeping: Maintaining employee records, ensuring confidentiality is maintained as well as other HR databases and generating reports on key HR metrics.Other: Other duties as requested by Management in keeping with the position.To be successful in this role:Previous experience at an HR Advisor (or similar) level with exposure to the full employee lifecycle is essential.Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of the Fair Work Act, NES, and Awards.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field desirable but not mandatory.High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives.Strong working knowledge and experience utilising HRIS.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation.Be a committed team player willing and happy to assist across the HR team as required.What we offer you:Personal development opportunities to grow in a diverse, inclusive company.A friendly and positive team environment.Salary Sacrifice/salary packaging benefits (including remote area housing benefits).At the HMC Group, we are passionate and committed to continued improvement across the group; therefore, you should be driven, focused, and capable of delivering in a proactive and fast-paced environment.To apply, please submit a cover letter briefly addressing your suitability for the position and a current resume.
