Payroll Officer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join their team. This role is integral to the smooth running of the organisation, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and processing support in preparation of payroll, maintaining related records to comply with organisational and legal requirements.
What you'll do: Preparation and payment of the fortnightly payroll for all organisational employees.Checking new employee records and master file maintenance of all payroll related transactions.Provide high quality and timely information and advice on all payroll related queries.Processing manual pay adjustments.Calculation and processing of redundancy and termination payments.Process payroll deductions and leave requests.Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.Consolidate and balance payroll system entries.Reconciliation of workers compensation payments.What you bring: Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.Comprehensive experience running payroll in a similar sized organisation with end to end delivery.Advanced computing skills in MS Office suite and computerised payroll systems.Strong attention to detail and mathematical ability.Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Ability to proactively work as part of a team as well as autonomously.Ability to understand, analyse and produce workable solutions.Strong ability to prioritise conflicting workload demands.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
