What does the role need? As the leader of the newly established HR team, you will ensure that our team is supported through the recruitment phase and the ongoing retention and support to build a strong team culture and deliver on our promises to our clients.
The position is responsible for the provision of HR management and support services directly to the COO. Tasks include:
Staffing structures and planning of team member vacancies, changes, growth, and optimal efficiency.Recruitment and staff selection.Head hunting the key people in the industry.Employment contracts.Induction and orientation for new starters.Team member conflict and staff performance management.Team member probation tracking.Team member retention and training plans.Team member visas and immigration requirements issues.Team member workplace compensation claims for accidents/injuries and return to work.The creation and maintenance of team member personnel records.Informal and formal counseling and terminations.Continuous development of the HR systems.Understanding international employment regulations.Given the nature of the role, regular travel to various offices in the state and interstate travel to meet with the team is required.

Proven HR and Recruitment experience in the Facilities Management or Construction Industry.Support through the startup stage to established phases of businesses.High level of initiative and the ability to take up roles and responsibilities on a proactive basis.Thorough understanding of awards, NES, and employment legislation.High level of verbal and written communication skills.Good organisational & planning skills.Ability to work in a team environment and contribute positively to the team performance.High level of professional and personal presentation.Reliable with a high level of attention to detail.Stress tolerance and multi-tasking.Ability to build relationships with other staff members.Experience managing and mentoring a team that is spread throughout Australia.Advanced computer literacy including Excel and Word.Possess a strong work ethic, good organisational skills, and can meet strict deadlines.This opportunity will require successful candidates to undergo a medical, police check, and security clearances.
