The Leaders
This role will report through to a Head of HR who has extensive industry experience, leading high-performing and cross-functional teams. They have a down-to-earth style with a pragmatic approach to identifying people solutions that enable business success.
The Opportunity
This is a value-add Business Partnering role where you will operate in a true generalist capacity and offer proactive solutions. You will demonstrate the ability to work between strategic and operational initiatives that are impactful and commercially aligned. There is a great scope of transformation programs of work in the pipeline at a site level and across the broader Group that you will have the opportunity to lead. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Providing hands-on mentorship and coaching to site-based leaders, ensuring impactful and consistent support, while introducing formal training initiatives as needed.Enhancing leadership capabilities and fostering their active engagement in critical HR initiatives, including performance management, learning and development, and employee relations.Identifying skills gaps proactively, addressing them through tailored training opportunities, and promoting effective goal-setting strategies.Leading efforts in strategic talent mapping and succession planning for the site, with a focus on achieving goals related to employee turnover, tenure, and retention.Collaborating with the national HR team on initiatives involving change management, HR projects, and digital transformation.Building strong relationships with Union officials and ensuring open, cooperative, and productive communication with their representatives.Partnering with stakeholders to offer expert advice and guidance on employee relations and performance management, driving positive and constructive outcomes.About You
The ideal candidate will bring a strong generalist background demonstrated experience working in a unionised environment. Strong leadership experience will be key along with your superior stakeholder management skills and being able to influence positive outcomes.
Your confidence in navigating the full employee lifecycle will be crucial to your success, as will a solid background in leadership development, employee capability, engagement, ER, and performance management.
Experience working in a blue-collar environment, supporting a fast-paced workforce is key to the success of this role! Please note that there is an expectation of 4-5 days per week onsite with flexibility around start and finish times.
The Process
We anticipate that for this role there will be three interviews including a site tour. This will give you an opportunity to meet with the Head of HR, peers from within the team and the site leadership team.
