Working on a lifestyle 8:6 roster, day shifts only.
The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work with a senior team of health and safety professionals to develop, coordinate, and deliver HSET training programs, conduct site inductions, and ensure all employee statutory accreditation for the site is current.
You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and promote adherence to all site rules, regulations, procedures, and safe work systems.
Your duties will include:
Supporting the development and maintenance of HSE policies and procedures. Developing, reviewing, updating, and delivering training packages including assessment and recommendations of development needs. Coaching, training, and advising managers on a range of HSET issues and equipping them with the appropriate HSET tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their teams. Conducting regular workplace inspections and audits and monitoring compliance. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements and ensuring these requirements are applied effectively in the workplace. Proactively providing hands-on assistance in the implementation of HSE tools and processes. Your skills and experience: You will be an experienced safety and training professional within the mining industry, ideally within open cut, but coal and hard rock experience will be considered. You must have:
Cert IV in WHS Cert IV in Training and Assessing ICAM Lead Investigator Training and Certification in Workplace and Auditing Previous experience in a similar role, working in high-risk safety environments In-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements The ability to multi-task, be customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills How to Apply: Opportunities like this don't last long!
