Collar Group is seeking HSE Advisors to join our client on a 2:1 roster at various mine sites on an ongoing opportunity.Job Description:Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities and provide HSE technical guidance to the site team operations, following Client's HSE policies and procedures during installation and maintenance services events on Client equipment.
Work with Client personnel and sub-contractor personnel at Client's customer sites. Act as the Client representative on site, serving as the customer's focal point of contact for HSE-related issues.Support the Client Site Manager and site team to ensure compliance with HSE laws, regulations, and requirements applicable at the customer site.Report to the Site Manager on the team's HSE performance and provide HSE highlights for the shift via the Daily/Shift HSE Reporting template.Provide clear and concise handover to the back-to-back shift HSE Advisor.Lead HSE discussions during toolbox meetings and share any HSE-related topics.Participate in customer HSE meetings, walk-abouts, etc., working alongside the customer's HSE team.Support and review site JHA/JSA, safe work method statements, lift plans, or any safety-related matters with regards to work-packs for the scope of work on site.Review of customer Permit to Work (PTW) and associated documentation.Identify top HSE performers and recommend them to the Site Manager for recognition.Support fatigue management assessments of the outage team.Aid and advise during critical lift exercises and attend safety toolbox talks.Log all Safety Concerns raised by the site team into the Client Tracker Template and encourage the outage team to submit Safe Cards as per the customer concern reporting expectations.Support Client site team from an HSE specialist perspective and act as a mentor to the team members.Encourage the site team to carry out and review Work Front Risk Assessments / Take-5s.Look for areas of improvement and strengthen the HSE culture among the team.Support investigations for any HSE incidents or near-misses.
Work closely with Client HSE Leadership, serving as front-line support for collecting information, evidence, and statements in a timely, clear, and compliant manner to facilitate the investigations.
