Responsibilities of the role To lead, strengthen and grow the Tunstall ANZ Technical Services team, to ensure the effective strategic alignment, development and operation of computing and IT based services.
Tunstall ANZ has an office in Eagle Farm Queensland and one in Tauranga New Zealand, and this role is responsible for leading all of the technology requirements across both to ensure internal and external clients are getting the best technical service and products available.
The Head of Technology drives change management processes, ensures smooth transitions with minimal disruption to operations, maintains robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance, and ensures our 24/7 business has optimal business continuity solutions.
Reporting into the Group Director IT Infrastructure with a dotted line to the Regional Managing Director in ANZ, the Head of Technology is responsible for the identification and evaluation of progressive and innovative strategy initiatives to help drive business growth for Tunstall ANZ, while simultaneously aligning and championing the Group goals and directives.
This role works between leading the operations of the function while also investigating strategic opportunities, especially in relation to service design (including integration) that deliver real results and technology solutions for clients, with an ongoing assessment of tracking progress to meet goals and objectives.
The Tunstall Head of Technology has a strong focus on leading the established Technology team of 8 based in Eagle Farm, which includes infrastructure, product, service desk and quality.
The role acts as a passionate mentor and provides expert advice, training and career development for the team to help them to excel.
This role sits on the ANZ Executive team, contributing to regular regional Executive team meetings, playing an active role in business decisions and advising where Technology can add value and promote growth and efficiencies.
The Head of Technology collaborates across all departments to ensure they are providing any support and knowledge required to help Tunstall thrive.
Experience and requirements Experience in a senior leadership position, preferably reporting into the CEO/MD and/or Group structure Extensive experience in managing Technical Teams, Business Systems, IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery functions Proven track record of creating, delivering and operating successful Technology programs Tertiary level degree in business and/or significant experience in related fields, or significant equivalent experience Proven experience in advanced strategic planning, effectively managing change and a focus on continuous improvement Exceptional leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to develop, inspire, engage and motivate a team Enthusiastic and adaptable with the ability to multitask and pivot when required Strong decision maker with the ability to think outside the box and influence others Experience working with financial and stakeholder management An exceptional communicator who leads with self-awareness and lives our values of collaboration, accountability, customer focus and innovation Experience in a 24/7 business environment preferred Ability to travel as required Why us?
