About the Position
Presented is a unique opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance to join this dynamic and innovative manufacturing business during an exciting phase of growth. This challenging opportunity has national responsibility for a multi-site operation including a new state of the art facility in Melbourne, due for completion in 2025.

Reporting to the Australian GM, you will be the lead finance executive within the local operations and form part of the Australian management team. You will provide leadership and management of Mapei's Australian finance team, ensuring efficient financial, controlling and accounting functions are in line with the group requirements and able to support strategy at a local level.

As a true finance leader and commercial business partner, you will provide a crucial link between finance, operations, sales and other business units across the organisation. Your ability to provide value through commercial insights will be crucial to your success, enabling business decisions to be made, ultimately driving financial success of the organisation.

This is a highly visible and influential role that requires a combination of strong leadership, financial acumen, business partnering skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Full financial control for the Australian operations including commercial reporting, accounting, tax & statutory, planning, treasury management and internal control functions
Lead, guide and mentor a finance team of nine locally
Act as a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support to drive key business decisions
Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives and drive performance
Conduct financial analysis, including monthly reporting across actuals versus forecast to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities
Ensure group and local accounting policies are properly developed and applied across the business
Lead the annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes
Provide guidance on pricing, profitability analysis and cost optimisation
Work with the local GM to establish and maintain robust financial processes and a strong internal controls environment across the organisation
Skills and Experience
CA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent qualification
Relevant experience in a senior finance leadership role with full controlling responsibilities
Demonstrated people leadership abilities
Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
Enjoy adding value by operating as a business partner to operational stakeholders
