We are seeking an outstanding Head of Finance to join our Leadership Team. The Head of Finance will play a crucial role in managing Younity's financial health and will add great value to our Leadership function. The Head of Finance will be required to work across multiple financial environments including our Community Services not-for-profit, our new non-state special assistance school, The Younity School, and our soon to be live Leap NDIS Solutions, providing NDIS funded supports to our clients. This is a truly dynamic and evolving role that will require current understanding of at least one of these sectors.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Planning and Strategy
Budgets and Forecasting
Operational Efficiency and Cost Management
Financial Reporting
Risk Management and Compliance
Cash Flow and Grant Management
Payroll & Accounts processing
This would suit someone who:
Brings a strong track record in financial leadership within dynamic, multi-division organisations, with experience in not-for-profit and/or non-state school sectors
Is innovative and solution-focused, able to navigate complexity with a clear vision for sustainable financial growth
Thrives in a culture of passion, creativity, and community impact, bringing energy and inspiration to drive Younity's mission forward
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, building trust, rapport, and collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
Essential Criteria:
Degree in Business Management, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
Significant experience in strategic financial management and developing and implementing financial strategies that support organisational goals
Proven ability to operate at an Executive Level within a multidisciplinary Leadership Team
Strong knowledge of compliance within Australian not-for-profit and/or non-state school environments
Experience with Grant Management and Reporting requirements across not-for-profit and/or non-state school environments
Detailed knowledge and abilities in financial and related technologies
