We offer services in a wide and diverse range of tasks from standard lawn mowing and care, paving repair and small projects, planter boxes and low retaining walls, to installing furniture and handywork in home repair.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, reliable, trustworthy, strong and skilled individual who can deliver services at the level that LAWN & LINTEL has been delivering to our clients and maintain the same customer rapport which is so important for a successful business.
What capacity needs to be filled:
We require a casual worker who can fill positions primarily to take care of lawns (mowing, weeding, whipper snippering, edging and tidy up) and gardens (hedge trimming), at a week's notice following a client's request.
As demand increases, the possibility of transition into a part time position may present itself in future, however, this is entirely up to the candidate should they want more work.
Your requirements: Candidates who have experience in landscaping are preferable or at least exhibit proof of existing similar skills and thus the ability to quickly learn and deliver to the high standards expected from our clients.As a minimum, a portfolio of past projects or evidence of being handy and possessing good workmanship will be highly desirable.Good character is essential for this role as this is a position of trust around clients' homes and successful candidates will require several credible references from referees who have known them for a few years.Excellent customer service and a genuine friendly personality.Ability to work independently and dependably on smaller jobs and also in a team for larger projects.Attention to detail and very high standards of quality.A current Police clearance check or the ability to obtain one will also be a requirement to fill a position at LAWN & LINTEL.Knowledge of First Aid is also compulsory and evidence of having taken training is essential.Knowledge of personal health and safety and ability to use PPE is crucial.Candidates who are physically fit and well above average strength are highly desirable as LAWN & LINTEL cares for its employees' wellbeing and safety and the work is strenuous requiring stamina and a decent build coupled with proper techniques to maintain a decent working pace while avoiding strain or injury.
The capacity to comfortably lift at least 80 kg is highly desired as is the ability to sustainably deliver quality at a brisk pace.You will require your own vehicle and current driver's license to travel to customer's homes.
It is recommended that you bring your own tools, however, tools can be provided to the right candidate.Your working rights:
