Your Role:
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for end-to-end control, reporting, and reconciliation of results. The nature of the role is to drive continual improvement and work with senior management to enhance the finance function for our customers, franchisees, and management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Manage and oversee timely and accurate month-end completion including ownership of consolidated and entity financial information.
Perform comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling of entity and store performance to date.
Coordinate the annual tax return process and liaise with external advisors.
Coordinate the annual audit and oversee financial reporting.
Tax compliance (BAS, PAYG, payroll tax).
Management of banking, treasury, and taxation functions with the CFO.
Monitoring and management of payroll function across the Group.
Ensure that systems and processes are optimised, efficient, and appropriate.
Review of transactional reports and processes such as weekly payroll, weekly payment runs, debtor reports, and the like.
Mentor and manage the accounts team.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
CA / CPA Qualification.
Minimum of 5 years experience in financial accounting.
Outstanding time management, organisation, and planning skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines and tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
Providing leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.
Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
