For more information, please visit our website: www.bloodwoodtree.org.au About the Opportunity Bloodwood Tree Association is looking for a passionate Employment Consultant to join our team in Port Hedland, WA. This is a full-time role where you will work closely with job seekers and local employers to help facilitate meaningful employment outcomes.

Reporting to the Employment & Training Manager, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the job-seeking process, from initial registration to job placement. You will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver tailored employment solutions, with a particular focus on Aboriginal job seekers.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Managing client intake, registration, and referrals for employment and training programs Assisting clients in becoming job-ready, including providing interview coaching and promoting work ethics Facilitating access to local training modules to boost skill levels Collaborating with local employers to identify and secure employment opportunities for job seekers Supporting the placement of employees, trainees, and apprentices across various industries Promoting employment opportunities via Bloodwood Tree Association's social media platforms and community radio Organising and facilitating work readiness and school-based workshops. Mentoring clients, liaising with employers and trainees, and providing ongoing support to ensure employment retention Engaging in community outreach by attending local events and delivering in-house training opportunities This role may occasionally require you to work outside of regular business hours to assist at community events and support clients in accessing training opportunities.

Certificate IV in Employment Services or a related qualification (desirable, but not essential) Minimum of 12 months' experience in employment services or a similar field Proven ability to work with Aboriginal communities, offering culturally appropriate services Strong administrative skills, particularly in using CRM tools, managing databases, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, businesses, and community organisations Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with local employers A current 'C' class driver's license Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check You will be a proactive, community-minded individual with a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential.
