Electronic Engineer Location: Flexible - Interstate travel required About the Role   Babcock Australasia is looking for a talented and motivated Electronic Engineer to join our team.
You will work on complex systems within the Defence sector, providing vital technical investigations and analysis, task management, and systems engineering expertise to ensure mission success.
You will contribute to developing solutions that enhance the capability of Defence systems and provide critical inputs across Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Safety, and Environmental deliverables.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct technical investigations, analysis, and trade studies for problem assessment, risk reduction, and design improvements.
- Participate in requirements definition, and provide documentation for new system developments.
- Plan, deliver, and monitor your tasks, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality standards.
- Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for subsystem tasks across multiple disciplines.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and records to support through-life knowledge capture.
- Engage in technical presentations and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of systems engineering activities including product design, system analysis, and acceptance testing.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development of innovative, sustainable solutions.
Skills and Experience: - 3 years' experience working within a Defence environment.
- 3 years' experience working as a Electronic Engineer, ideally in an ICT environment.
- Experience with requirements definition, subsystem design, and system commissioning.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with the Defence Capability Life Cycle is desirable.
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure, network services, and ICT systems in deployed/remote locations.
- Strong fault-finding abilities in multi-disciplinary environments.
